Your responsibilities include:\nOS Development and Management:\nContribute to the design, development, and management of operating systems for embedded systems, ensuring compatibility with Windows and Linux platforms.\nImplement security measures to safeguard embedded systems.\nSoftware and Firmware Development:\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, for seamless integration of software and firmware components.\nCreate and maintain software packages, configuration scripts, and ensure efficient distribution across products.\nWeb-Based Diagnostics and Manufacturing Tools:\nDevelop and maintain web-based diagnostics and manufacturing tools for software and firmware.\nCollaborate with the printer development team to ensure seamless integration and functionality.\nCross-Team Collaboration:\nWork closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and other software engineers for a cohesive and integrated product development approach.\nParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.\nDocumentation:\nDocument software and firmware development processes, code architecture, and technical specifications.\nKeep documentation up-to-date to facilitate knowledge transfer and project continuity.\nQualifications\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\n3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.\nProficiency in C/C++ and experience with scripting languages like Python.\nSolid understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and software engineering principles.\nExperience with real-time operating systems and embedded systems architecture.\nKnowledge of operating system development, security protocols, and system updates.\nFamiliarity with both Windows and Linux environments.\nExperience in Web APIs, web-based diagnostics, manufacturing tools, and cross-team collaboration.\nKnowledge of software development tools, debugging techniques, and testing methodologies.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in the 3D printing or additive manufacturing industry.\nFamiliarity with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.\nExpertise in communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and USB.\nKnowledge of safety-critical software development standards.\nExperience with agile development methodologies and continuous integration.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nSalary Range: Salary range is $91,900 to $115,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)\nIn addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance.\n3D Systems offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage, company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, and company-paid basic life insurance.
