Banquet House Attendant
Summary The Banquet House Attendant is primarily responsible for delivering exceptional banquet and conference services to the guests. This individual will promote a safe and welcoming working environment to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Essential functionsAssists with setting up and tear-down for event functions, to include buffets and coffee breaks.Maintain stock and cleanliness of back of house workspace with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.Transport all needed service materials and props to banquet/function rooms and storage.Service meeting breaksVacuum and sanitize function spaceSet up and operate LCD projector, laptop computer, overhead projector, TVs and monitorsOpen and close banquet checks in POS systemMeet grooming standards of the hotel as set out in the Team Member Handbook.Attend daily briefings, training sessions, and meetings as required. Education & experienceHigh school diploma or 2 years of equivalent experienceKnowledge of basic banquet serviceHighly organized and detail-orientedExceptional guest-focusFluency in other languages beneficial RequirementsAuthorized to work in the United StatesDetail-oriented and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidaysDeal effectively and interact well with coworkers and guestsWilling to pitch-in and be a team playerAbility to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.Effective verbal and written communication English skills.
