Our approach is to offer \"Everything as a Service\" so developers can quickly innovate, iterate, and operate in a manner consistent to modern Public Cloud providers.\nWhat you are good at\nEffectively driving technical and procedural change initiatives will be critical to success in this role. You will be involved in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from designing and building pipelines and supporting private cloud environments to working on various POCs. You will gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of various application platforms to identify needed create “paved roads” to streamline delivery pipelines. Your role will require a wealth of knowledge and field-proven experience to deliver on the success of the initiatives.\nWhat you’ll do\nContribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of “Everything as a Service” applications\nLead development efforts of items with limited complexity with oversight from lead\nBuild automated tests and enable continuous delivery of the container products and capabilities\nParticipate in peer code reviews, receiving & incorporating feedback from team members, as well as providing feedback to others\nParticipate in requirements analysis with team members\nDesign and document software solutions requiring general domain knowledge and developing business expertise\nParticipate in agile ceremonies with a software development team, including quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions\nWhat you have\n\nTo ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of \"challenging the status quo,\" this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.\nRequired Qualifications\nB.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience\n1-2 years of DevOps experience in a Linux environment\n1-2 years of professional development experience in Java, .NET, or other object-oriented programming languages such as Python or C++\n1-2 years of Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or PCF\nCurrent experience with Schwab systems and processes\nSolid understanding of Cloud architectures and best practices\nSolid knowledge of networking concepts such as routing, subnetting, NATing etc\nSolid Linux sysadmin skills\nSolid in scripting languages including Bash and Python\nFamiliarity with containerization using cloud native technologies like Docker and Kubernetes\nExperience using Git-based source control and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, Harness, or similar)\nExperience with IaC, preferably Terraform\nExperience with configuration management tools, preferably Salt\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong documentation and communication skills\nMust have a passion for problem-solving, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams\nEffective time management, must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively\nExperience working on an Agile Scrum development team\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities\n\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
