We believe in reinvesting in our people and supporting the local community—because we succeed together.\nTHE ROLE\nThe Apprentice Millwright earns their place on the crew every day — by doing the hard labor that keeps a project moving, assisting the Millwright at every opportunity, and absorbing the trade knowledge that gets them promoted.\nWHAT YOU’LL OWN\nMove, stage, and haul equipment, materials, and tools so the crew always has what it needs, where it needs it.\nKeep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe throughout every shift — clear walkways, no scrap piling up.\nSet up and break down scaffolding, work platforms, ladders, and temporary equipment.\nOffload and receive trucks, handle paperwork, and stage materials when deliveries arrive.\nAssist with rigging, leveling, anchoring, and setting equipment under the direction of a Millwright.\nSupport pipe fitting, pipe hanger, and welding tasks — prepping material, purging pipe, maintaining fire watch, and grinding under supervision.\nHelp with wall, ceiling, and roof penetrations, roof curbs, equipment pads, and concrete anchoring as directed.\nFollow all ARMI and customer safety requirements — hard hat and safety glasses at minimum, every time.\nEvery opportunity to assist a Millwright is an opportunity to learn. From day one you will start building real trade skills:\nReading blueprints, isometric drawings, and equipment installation manuals.\nProper rigging techniques, weight awareness, and safe use of rigging hardware.\nUsing laser levels, chalk lines, and machinist levels to position and level equipment to spec.\nTIG welding fundamentals, conveyor modification, and precision anchoring in food-plant environments.\nOSHA requirements for catwalks, platforms, and stairways.\nHow a project runs from mobilization to completion — and where you fit in.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nA strong work ethic and a willingness to do the hard labor that keeps a project moving.\nCoachable, dependable, and on time — takes direction well and follows through.\nWilling to travel and stay out of town for extended periods (per diem provided).\nAble to lift, carry, climb, and work on your feet in an industrial environment.\nEager to learn the Millwright trade and earn promotion. No prior experience required.\nStrong organizational skills — you manage multiple moving parts without dropping any\nAbility to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership without being asked\nValid driver’s license and clean driving record required\nMust successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check\nWHAT ARMI OFFERS\n\nPay That Reflects Every Hour You Work\nBase hourly pay + automatic time and a half over 40 hours + time and a half every Saturday + double time every Sunday. Work a holiday? You receive your full 8-hour holiday pay plus double time for every hour on the job.
