{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3c3bda11c365852d7c6fc961","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3c3bda11c365852d7c6fc961","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3c3bda11c365852d7c6fc961","title":"Software Engineer","description":"Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Software Engineer with a major corporation in Burbank, CA. 4 days per week on-site, Fridays remote.\n\n16+ month contract\nPay Rate: $80 - $86/hr DOE\n\nMust haves:\nArchitecture - building applications - front end/backend - Angular, React, API management - Team is not tied to any one platform\n\nCritical problem solving skills, Informatica may or may not use so nice to have as integration platforms use them, Project is Workday upgrades\n\nDescription:\nRead, analyze, design, build, test and debug applications for system integrations solutions with focus on HR data between internal and external systems\n\nDesign and implement applications using Web Services methodologies such as XML, XSLT, JSON, xPath and other related technologies\nDesign and build user friendly interfaces using scripting languages and front-end frameworks and libraries\nDevelop and manage server-side programming and APIs\nManage databases for HR data within the technology landscape for various subscribing systems\nParticipate in project and DevOps delivery from requirements gathering to deployment\nLead business and stakeholder teams to effectively translate business requirements into\ntechnical solutions keeping in mind best practices and industry standards\n\nPerform fit-gap analysis to identify opportunities to automate and make existing processes more efficient.\nCollaborate with various teams, including third party vendors, Enterprise Applications and Infrastructure teams on various projects and day-to-day deliverables\nMentor junior team members to ensure deliverables are met\nAnalyze data points to influence critical decisions to effectively deliver on projects\nBuild and foster client & peer relationships, partner with other teams to deliver mission critical applications\nLead support teams and other team members to troubleshoot critical incidents by conducting root cause analysis and identifying solutions\nContribute to impact analysis during various application Release Cycles\nOwn comprehensive technical documentation of integrations and other applications for document versions and archives\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nMinimum 5+ years of experience developing software applications\n\nMinimum 5+ years hands-on experience configuring systems\nMinimum 5+ years of experience with some of the following specific technologies: OData, REST, SOAP, FTP/SFTP, JDBC, CSV, XML, JSON, XSL, encryption standards such as PGP, x509.\nMinimum 5+ years of experience working on JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery\nMinimum 5+ years of experience working server-side programming languages such as Net, Java, Ruby and Python\nMinimum 3+years of experience in API development using web services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) methodologies.\nMinimum 3+years of experience in API development using web services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) methodologies.\nMinimum 3+years of experience in database technology, including SQLServer, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as server caching, browser caching, CDN caching, database query caching, in-memory caching (like Redis and Memcached), and application caching\nExpertise in comprehensive testing lifecycle inclusive of Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, and Defect Remediation.\nComfortable with Agile and Waterfall development lifecycles for project deliveries\nExperience with software development lifecycle methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.\nExpertise in secure software development and secure coding practices\nAbility to translate business requirements into software technical specifications\nAct as a liaison between business and technology teams\nKeep abreast with latest technologies and share knowledge with team members & peers\nProblem solver, analytical and results driven with innovative thinking\nGood communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
