Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.This Role In SummaryTo be successful in this role, you will work with our design engineers and Vendors around the world to lock in a design that meets the needs of the design intent and also meet the needs of the manufacturing plant with regard to standards, expected uptime, etc. Some travel will be required.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeLeading projects to specify/purchase/modify fabrication and/or Stamping Equipment in support of major program launchesLeading changes to existing equipment to support cost and quality initiativesCommunicating project updates to all levels of the organization Leading vendors to provide a design that transforms print tolerances into a repeatable/robust machineMaintaining/updating/ submitting project documentation for each new project. e.g. FMEA, NP stores load sheets, purchased component listing etcMinimum Requirements5+ years of manufacturing experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical or a similar disciplinePreferred Skills And Experiences3+ years in a similar functionBackground in specifying and leading the implementation of new equipmentExperience using 3d and or 2d software e.g. SolidWorks, ProE, Acad, etcAdditional InformationWhirlpool’s Ways of WorkingBenefitsOur goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
