Product Manager – Product Integrity & ComplianceContract DetailsDuration: 6-month contractLocation: Onsite in New York, New YorkPay Rate: $26–$28/hourOverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Product Manager to support vendor compliance, product integrity, and regulatory initiatives across multiple product categories. This role will partner closely with internal cross-functional teams, external vendors, and third-party testing laboratories to ensure products meet internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations.The ideal candidate has experience in product integrity, compliance, or quality assurance within the apparel or consumer products industry and thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCross-Functional PartnershipCollaborate with internal teams including Sourcing, Production, Design, Legal, Merchandising, Retail, Wholesale, and Vendor partners to address regulatory and compliance mattersMonitor recurring testing and inspection failures and identify performance trends and insightsStay informed on wholesale customer compliance requirementsServe as a consultant and resource to cross-functional stakeholdersCreate quarterly vendor and compliance performance reports to support vendor assessment initiativesProgram ManagementOrganize and maintain Product Integrity and Quality Assurance documentation and recordsSupport departmental initiatives and complete additional tasks as assignedAssist with tracking and reporting related to testing, inspections, and compliance programsVendor Management & Product ComplianceOversee product testing programs related to quality, product safety, and regulatory complianceEnsure quality standards are maintained across product categoriesOnboard and educate vendors on quality assurance, product integrity, and regulatory compliance expectationsSupport vendors with questions related to testing, inspections, and compliance proceduresEnsure products are tested according to assigned care instructions, Restricted Substance Lists (RSL), and quality expectationsIdentify quality concerns and recommend corrective actions and solutions for failed testing resultsLaboratory & Testing CoordinationPartner with third-party laboratories to ensure testing is conducted according to required standards and protocolsMonitor laboratory turnaround times, reporting accuracy, and testing proceduresEnsure adherence to specified test methods and compliance requirementsRegulatory ComplianceStay current on evolving state, federal, and international regulatory requirementsProvide compliance guidance and support to internal stakeholdersDevelop a foundational understanding of technical product details including materials, trims, fiber content, care labeling, and testing requirementsRequired Qualifications3–5 years of Product Integrity, Quality Assurance, or Compliance experienceKnowledge of apparel manufacturing processes and proceduresFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations including:CPSCCPSIAFTCCPSACalifornia Proposition 65REACHExperience with consumer product testing processesStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPointHighly organized with strong prioritization and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPositive, team-oriented mindset with strong external partnership skillsInterest in product testing, fabric innovation, sustainability, and social compliancePreferred QualificationsExperience working with product testing laboratories preferredBackground in apparel, fashion, or consumer products industries preferredEqual Opportunity StatementWe are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
