We work closely with our portfolio businesses to improve operations, increase efficiency, and deploy modern technology to drive growth.Role OverviewWe are seeking an Agentic Engineer to work across our portfolio companies to identify, design, and implement AI-driven automation and software agents. This role blends engineering, data analysis, and practical operational support. The right person will be comfortable building systems from scratch, analyzing business processes, and helping teams adopt new tools.This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who enjoys solving real operational problems—not just building prototypes.Key ResponsibilitiesAgent & Automation DevelopmentIdentify opportunities across portfolio companies to deploy AI agents and automation workflowsDesign, build, and deploy agents that improve productivity, sales processes, customer communication, reporting, or operationsIntegrate with existing systems such as CRMs, accounting software, scheduling tools, and internal databasesMaintain and improve deployed agents over timeData Analysis & ReportingAnalyze operational and financial data to identify inefficiencies or opportunitiesBuild dashboards, reports, and data pipelines to support decision-makingSupport portfolio company leadership with ad-hoc analysisProcess ImprovementMap workflows and recommend technology-driven improvementsStandardize repeatable processes across portfolio companies where appropriateLight IT & Technical SupportAssist with basic IT troubleshooting, system setup, and vendor coordination when neededHelp evaluate and implement new software toolsEnsure basic best practices around data security and system organizationQualificationsRequiredA degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of professional experience developing in Python and deploying robust AI/ML solutions, with specific expertise in autonomous agents.Deep understanding of agent frameworks and tools (e.g., OpenAI Agents SDK, autogen, Google ADK/A2A, LangGraph, etc.).Hands-on experience integrating generative AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, LLaMA) into practical agentic systems.Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in relevant libraries, frameworks, and technologies such as FastAPI, asyncio, and PyTorch.Demonstrated ability to design scalable, distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.Excellent collaboration, mentorship, and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with distributed teams.Strong analytical skills and comfort working with datasets and spreadsheetsAbility to understand business operations and translate needs into technical solutionsComfortable working independently and managing multiple projectsExperience integrating SaaS tools (CRM, ERP, marketing tools, etc.)Background in startups, operations, or consultingFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Basic networking or IT administration knowledgeTraits We ValuePractical problem-solver who prioritizes results over theoryCurious and proactive in identifying opportunitiesAble to communicate clearly with non-technical operatorsHigh ownership and accountabilityWhy This Role Is UniqueYou will work directly with leadership and have the opportunity to deploy technology that materially improves real businesses—not just internal tools.
