This provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of front-end practices while collaborating with a backend-focused engineering team to deliver product improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn front-end features from UI and UX implementation through delivery.Develop and maintain user-facing applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Vite.Work on supporting UI services that consume shared backend services and present data to users.Implement form updates, user experience improvements, and interface changes that support new backend features.Gradually take ownership of most non-architectural development tasks with increasing independence.Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate front-end functionality with core product services.Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the regular engineering workflow while reviewing generated code and ensuring its correctness.Incorporate feedback, follow technical direction, and independently manage assigned work.Contribute to the growth of the team's front-end development practices.Required QualificationsThree to five years of professional software engineering experience.Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with substantial experience developing applications using React.Ability to work independently, manage tasks with minimal supervision, and respond constructively to feedback.Adaptability to a small-company environment where priorities and requirements may evolve.Practical experience using AI coding tools, with the ability to identify and correct errors in AI-generated code.Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Vite as a front-end build tool.Exposure to backend technologies such as Java, Scala, or C#.Previous experience working at a smaller, fast-moving company.Candidates located near Salt Lake City, Utah; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; or Chicago, Illinois are preferred, although candidates in other locations may be considered.Location and Work ArrangementFully remote position.Approximately two weeks of company travel per year for in-person team gatherings.Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Interview ProcessComplete a take-home skills assessment submitted through GitHub, Bitbucket, or as a ZIP file.
