You are flexible, creative, and take initiative in handling emergencies.\nWhat qualifications are required for this position?\nYou Are Also:\nSomeone with at least three years of experience in housing case management, crisis intervention, and/or peer counseling.\nExperienced in a domestic violence, human trafficking and/or homeless setting providing direct Services.\nUnderstanding of the dynamics of trauma informed care, as well as an understanding of, and sensitivity to, serving diverse populations as it relates to family dynamics and other aspects of cultural practice.\nFlexible, proactive and open to learning.\nKnowledgeable of community resources, community-based organizations, social services, and specifically housing agencies and programs that offer services to our clients.\nIn possession of The State mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking counselor certification (this can be scheduled after hire).\nIn possession of a valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and be approved by Ruby's Place insurance as a driver in order to drive agency vehicles.\nAble to complete a background check, fingerprinting (Live Scan), and completion of all Community Care Licensing requirement documents. Able to meet all licensing requirements of Community Care Licensing.\nWhat You Will Do\nThe anticipated start date for this position is summer 2024. In this position you will share the goal of the housing program to support clients with finding and maintaining safe housing. You will encourage case managers to build strong relationships with our clients, helping them become self-sufficient while maintaining a person-centered, trauma-informed team culture. You will participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance our skills and services.\nResponsibilities include\nSupervise Housing Case Managers.\nHaving a caseload of your own. Ideally more challenging cases that need more attention.\nSupport case managers with maintaining case notes, case plans and all other required documentation.\nWorks with Program Manager and Assistant Housing Director to maintain a person-centered, trauma-informed team culture.\nParticipates in on-going training and professional development opportunities.\nAnticipate program needs and take initiative initiatives to solve program problems.\nMake sure that weekly case management is happening with all clients: shelter, outreach and housed clients.\nOversee the development and tracking of case plans that follow up on client housing goals and accomplishments.\nOversee the transport of clients to legal, social services and other case management related appointments as needed to assure client success. Oversee the transactions for food related services like Instacart and doordash are being provided and accountant for.\nWork with the Housing Program Manager to ensure that clients’ needs are being met and purchase orders are filled out completely and correctly.\nProvide confidential, holistic, client-centered, trauma-informed services.\nProvide individual crisis intervention and peer counseling services as needed.\nAssist with training new case managers in the housing department.\nAssist with the development of new training available for all housing case managers including professional development, labor laws, housing rights, HUD training, evictions, etc.\nComplete functional timesheets by assigned due dates in compliance with time allocations.\nActively participate in reflective supervision sessions.\nCreate and maintain documentation of processes and procedures related to job duties.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWorking Conditions\nThis position is eligible for hybrid in person & remote work. Time spent on-site versus remote working will be discussed and agreed upon with your supervisor. You are expected to be available on-site as necessary given business needs. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physical activities, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
