Pool/Boulevard Server
OverviewThe Boulevard Server safely and efficiently provides excellent customer service with a smile! We want our guests to feel good about their dining experience so that they will tell others and become loyal customers. We expect and encourage you to go out of your way to talk to guests and find out what their needs are before they have to ask you.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesGreet guests at fire tables, Adirondack chairs, and pool area chairs and ensure each guest has a boulevard menuOffer, sell, and obtain cocktail orders from guestsObtain the meal order and give to kitchen staff for preparationServe the food once prepared and ensure guests have everything they needReturn to the boulevard periodically to see if additional items are desired. When the guests have completed their meal, suggest a dessert. After completion of the meal or dessert, deliver the checkRemove dirty dishes and silverware, place them in respective traysPrepare tables for service - Bus and wipe cleanKnow menu, menu prices, composition of food and beverage menu items, familiarity with all daily specials and with proper plating proceduresUp-sell/suggestively sell food and beverages by describing each item in an appealing way to increase check averageRequire familiarity with all daily specials and with proper plating proceduresRefill all condiments and server station supplies at the end of each shiftMaintain food and beverage control (i.e., pre-check machine, portion control, liquor control); follow guidelines and practices outlined in TIPs trainingAttend regular staff and training meetingsPerform opening & closing work as requestedMaintain knowledge of current in-house and company marketing programsPrepare and deliver room service or take-out orders as requestedSkills RequiredProvide high level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressureExperience / EducationExperience as a Server is preferred; must be of legal age if serving alcohol
