This role is accountable for safety, consistent quality, efficient throughput, and effective collaboration with fabrication, electrical, welding, and paint teams. Work involves galvannealed steel, stainless steel, and aluminum folded-panel designs; adherence to acoustic, wind-load, and seismic specifications; and readiness for marine-grade coating systems.\n\nKey Responsiblities\nAssemble enclosure components (doors, panels, frames, hinges, latches, louvers, brackets, insulation, seals, hardware) to drawings and work instructions.\nRead and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, tolerances, and measurements.\nPerform layout, fit-up, drilling, fastening, sealing, and finishing with minimal supervision.\nUse hand/power tools (drills, impacts, grinders, cut-off wheels, magnetic drills) and torque tools to specification.\nInstall gaskets, weather seals, acoustic insulation, and structural reinforcements per specification.\nSet up, adjust, and safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.\nInspect completed work for fit, finish, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.\nIdentify assembly issues and communicate concerns to supervisors, engineering, or QA.\nMaintain production schedules by completing assigned work on time.\nProactively identify unsafe conditions and follow all safety procedures.\nSupport team productivity by collaborating across fabrication, weld, electrical, and paint.\nSpecific Qualifications:\nRequired Qualifications\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings (testing may be required).\nTape-measure proficiency to 1/16\"; competent with calipers, squares, and gauges.\nMechanical aptitude; proficiency with hand and power tools.\nKnowledge of rigging and safe material handling.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs; frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.\nStrong attention to detail, quality, and documentation.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience in enclosure, HVAC housing, or large metal-structure assembly environments.\nExperience with stainless steel, aluminum, or galvannealed materials.\nOverhead crane and/or forklift experience or certification.\nFamiliarity with acoustic insulation systems and enclosure sealing.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision; strong workmanship.\nCompany Overview:\nIES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
