The role will also requires up to 2 trips per quarter to Chantilly, VA or customer site lasting 3 – 5 days.\r\nAs Space Systems Integration Engineer, you will be supporting the Systems Engineering and Integration of the Tranche 3 constellation, which includes hundreds of satellites accomplishing multiple mission areas including missile warning, tracking and defense and tactical communications to warfighters. You will work with the SDA, space vehicle contractors, and ground segment contractors to ensure the architecture, requirements, implementation, integration and testing are executed successfully.\r\nResponsibilities to include, but are not limited to:\r\nWorks as a key part of the overall Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) group that is the core of the T3PI team.\r\nSupports integration and early testing of Space Vendor designs to meet system requirements to achieve overall mission needs while considering technical and schedule constraints.\r\nEnsures segment-level specifications are consistent with system-level requirements.\r\nEvaluates End-to-End system threads, functional behaviors between space and ground elements.\r\nSupports functional analysis, schedule analysis, and trade studies.\r\nSupports MBSE Cameo Model capture and review of requirements, CONOPS, and interfaces between Space and Ground Segments.\r\nSupports system-level risk assessments.\r\nWorks with space vehicle contractors to ensure designs meet requirements and interfaces across segments.\r\nParticipates in coordination and Working Group meetings to address shortfalls, gaps, risks, and any required system waivers.\r\nAssists with planning and execution of system-level tests and the evaluation of segment-level test plans and execution.\r\nQualifications\r\nRequired Education and Experience\r\nBachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.\r\nActive Top Secret/SCI.\r\nExperience developing and/or sustaining critical space systems for national security, preferably including space-to-ground integration.\r\nExperience with systems engineering involving the integration of complex multi-element systems, preferably Space-based remote sensing or communication Systems.\r\nProficiency using MBSE tools to include Cameo Systems Modeler.\r\nExcellent communication and teaming skills.\r\nExperienced with fast-paced development programs in the space domain.\r\nTarget salary range: $160,001 - $200,000.
