Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.Job ResponsibilitiesWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials.Review, maintain and provide comments to Production Schedule from SAPCorrect Inventory Errors in SAP based on part availabilityEnter and validate production data using SAPLoads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on weekly inventory cut sheet.Other duties as assigned.Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, EducationWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Physical demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.Work environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment requires the use of earplugs.
