The Hobart Food Machines division is located in Troy, Ohio, and is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern. This position will provide electrical engineering support for ongoing innovation projects on meat slicers and planetary mixers focusing on embedded systems.\nJob Description\nWork with prototype electronics using Raspberry Pi, Arduino or similar as well as hands-on experience soldering and/or modifying PCBs and test boxes.\nWork with embedded systems to develop code for algorithms including communications, signal processing, etc.\nCreate and/or modify electrical schematics.\nHelp develop and bring R&D projects, including accessories or main features, closer to production ready.\nWork with DC motors to drive smaller mechanical features as well as with Variable frequency drives to drive AC motors.\nTroubleshoot AC and DC circuits.\nLearn about various electrical and electronics equipment.\nIntern will work with cross functional internal team members including engineers, technicians, and machine operators.\nQualifications\nPursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.\nMust be classified as a Junior or Senior school year 2026 to 2027.\nAble to commute to our facility in the Troy, Ohio area for the duration of the internship experience.\nAt Hobart, we're not just offering an internship - we're inviting you to shape the future of engineering.
