Block Data Protection Frontline Engineer

US CITIZEN / Green Card Holder or H1BDuration: 12 monthsAdditional Skills needed - Frontline Engineer but with vSAN/vSphere/vCenter technical expertise/experienceBasic QualificationsCurrently working within an enterprise-level storage environment, with 5+ years of relevant experience.Experienced in Pure Storage FlashArray block storage products and/or in Rubrik r6000 series data protection products.Experienced in Brocade G series fabric switch products.Competent in Windows, Linux/UNIX-like operating systems.Monitor pure storage performance and capacity, ensuring optimal operation.Diagnose and resolve storage & switch related issues, working closely with vendors, engineering, and other support teams when necessary.Implement data protection mechanism on Rubrik such as snapshots, replication, and backup solution.Familiar with SRE principles such as user journeys, SLI/SLO, and synthetic probers.Strong analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.Ability to adapt to new technologies.Preferred QualificationsExperience in medium to large IT infrastructure across multiple datacenters.Good understanding of enterprise level change, incident, and problem management processes.Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well on a global team.Ability to work and prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment with a global focus.Automation utilizing scripting languages like bash, Python and/or Perl.Beneficial, but not required, experience in block storage (Dell, Hitachi), file (Netapp, Dell Unity), and/or backup solutions (Networker, DataDomain).Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line operations and server support.Understanding of how to troubleshoot basic Unix/Linux problems.
