The Quality Engineer will perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for commercial and/or government customers.ResponsibilitiesProvide quality engineering support throughout all phases of product developmentSupport manufacturing and development teams with process mapping, controls, SOPs, CAPA, inspections, and test proceduresDevelop inspection and testing strategies (tooling, fixtures, gauging, equipment) for incoming, in-process, and final inspectionsMaintain and control quality documentationSupport supplier quality through inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsPlan and assist with quality audits to ensure compliance with QMS (ISO 9001 / AS9100)Perform First Article Inspections (AS9102) and final inspections as requiredLead and support corrective action programs, including customer complaints and returnsOversee calibration, internal audits, and AS9100 management reviewsConduct risk assessments, FMEA, and control plan developmentReview and approve quality system proceduresManage nonconforming materials and engineering change processes (ECNs, CMAS)Support product testing and overall quality program initiativesRequirementsBS in engineering or technical field.Minimum of five years of QA experience in a regulated industry, aerospace industry preferred.Knowledge of quality system regulations/requirements.Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, CAPA, etc.Understanding of statistical techniques (SPC, DOE, ANOVA, probability theory, sampling distributions, Minitab, etc.)Experience in GD&T.ACT offers competitive pay, excellent benefits (medical, dental, vision, paid time off, holidays, company-paid life & disability insurance, 401(k) match, and profit-sharing), and a supportive team environment.ACT is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
