We drive innovation in off-site manufacturing, specialty prefabrication, preconstruction, and mechanical construction services.\nAs an Assistant Project Manager, you will assist the Project Manager with a variety of project related functions including planning and coordinating onsite construction activities for designated projects, to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Accountabilities:\nAssist Project Manager in the development and nurturing of client relationships\nCoordination of purchasing, procurement, subcontracts and submittals, and project schedules.\nMonitors control and construction of project through administrative direction of on-site superintendent and other field and office personnel associated with the project, to ensure quality project is built on schedule within budget.\nResponsible for-profit management of assigned projects.\nFosters effective relationships with project team, as well as clients, vendors, subcontractors, etc.\nReview and processing of submittals.\nManages subcontractor proposal requests, scope reviews and the issuing of subcontracts\nParticipate with monitoring schedule of field and subcontractor progress.\nIssues large purchase orders.\nAssists in the coordination of safety programs and oversees job site safety reviews.\nCoordinates all job correspondence.\nIdentifies opportunities for future projects and networks internally and externally to pursue such opportunities.\nResponsible for project closeouts.\nResponsible for reinforcing the company’s core values in how the project work is performed.\nJob Scope and Other Information\nScope of work may vary, from working on one large project, to several smaller size projects.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s Degree in Construction Science Management, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.\nEquivalent technical training and related experience will be considered.\nMinimum of 4 to 6 years’ technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing at a commercial, industrial, or institutional level.\nKnowledge, skills, and abilities:\nKnowledge of construction engineering technology, processes, and standards.\nTeam orientation and collaborative spirit.\nSelf-motivation: ability to drive results.\nEffective communication skills.\nAbility to develop and foster strong professional relationships.\nBasic level of business acumen.\nAbility to proactively identify potential problems and their solutions.\nPhysical and/or travel demands:\nRoutine driving to project sites required. Work will be done in a combination of office and job site environments.\nTravel to, temporary assignment, or relocation may be required based on project needs and locations.\nPhysical demands include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Position includes sitting and standing, use of telephone, keyboard, and computer monitor.\nBenefits and Compensation:\nThe range for this position has been established at $80,154.00 - $113,218.00\nper year and is US Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.\nYour total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off.
