If constant hand-holding is a requirement, this role is not suitable. In this role, you will ensure clients' financial well-being and compliance, optimize their tax positions, and empower them to make proactive financial decisions. This position is not about simply checking boxes; it is about driving tangible impact.Location: In Office- Salt Lake City, UtahSchedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST. These hours will change during peak season.Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for this role are designed to ensure clients' financial well-being and compliance.Tax Preparation & ComplianceReturn Preparation: Prepare and review federal and state individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.Accuracy & Timeliness: Ensure accurate and timely filing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Audit Support: Assist with audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.Financial Analysis: Analyze financial documents, identify deductions and credits, and review complex financial data to identify compliance issues.Proactive Tax Planning & AdvisoryStrategic Planning: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize current and future tax liabilities for clients.Research & Recommendations: Research complex tax issues and legislation to provide informed recommendations and prepare tax planning and projection projects.Proactive Decision-Making: Strategize throughout the year to help clients make proactive financial decisions, shaping their financial future rather than reacting to past events.Client Relationship ManagementPrimary Contact: Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, fostering open and clear communication.Service Expansion: Proactively identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients, expanding the firm's involvement.Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, trusting, long-term client relationships, enhancing client satisfaction and retention, and driving referrals.Research & Continuous LearningIndustry Knowledge: Stay current with evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including webinars, workshops, and conferences.Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and insights within the team, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.QualificationsExperience: 3-5 years of progressive tax preparation experience, including individual, corporate, and partnership returns.Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Certifications: CPA designation preferred but not required.
