Rate of Pay: 30.00 – 35.00 hour, based on experience and skill

About NAMI
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Marin County is the local affiliate of the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness and their families.
Through the efforts of dedicated volunteers, board members, and Executive Director, NAMI works to 1) Collaborate with Marin County mental health stakeholders to advocate for families of those affected by mental illness, reduce stigma, and work toward improved access to and quality of mental health treatment; 2) Offer education and support programs provided by NAMI National as well as those customized for our local community; 3) Help families and individuals navigate the mental health resources and services available in Marin County; and 4) Maintain a strong operational foundation by being financially self-sustaining with a highly engaged and well-trained volunteer base.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Programs Coordinator will provide administrative, program, and operational support that furthers the work and mission of NAMI Marin. Responsibilities include managing the NAMI Marin physical and remote/digital office, providing general and executive-level administrative support, and ensuring exceptional customer service for all stakeholders. Our Programs Coordinator will manage the office(s), stay up-to-date on all NAMI Marin programs, develop and maintain relationships with program volunteers & donors, foster volunteer engagement, coordinate trainings, and support a range of program logistics and administrative needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills, solid program or project management experience, event planning experience, administrative support practice and skills, plus proficiency with computer/software systems. Bilingual Spanish fluency is a plus.
Essential Functions
Manage office operations to ensure administrative tasks are accomplished
efficiently and effectively
Process the onboarding of new volunteers/personnel, including NAMI initial training
Coordinate facilitator/leader training sessions
Manage/coordinate all existing and new program initiatives, including monthly reporting
NAMIWalks coordinator/lead. Manage all logistics for the NAMIWalks event
Handle updating all outbound marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, promotional
videos, etc.
Orders and maintains printed materials and other promotional and collateral support
materials cost-effectively within budget
Provides general IT support and training
Provides data collection and database support for programs
Responsible for ensuring that phone calls to the chapter office are handled in an
efficient, timely, and customer-friendly manner
Maintains the 720 Database as required by NAMI
Responsible for coordinating NAMI SMC regional events/meetings, as needed
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the ED
Other Requirements
Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail,
deadlines, and accuracy.
Able to take initiative, work independently, and accept direction
The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Education
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience (2-4 years) in the mental health space
