In addition, the Engineer will support the introduction of new products as needed.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None\n\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nDevelop, document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes using appropriate data and tools.\nImprove efficiency through set-up time reduction, run rate improvement, and machine uptime.\nCoordinate and organize improvement projects.\nAnalyze close tolerance tooling and suggest improvements to increase output and improve quality.\nReview new products and suggest improvements to assure producibility and economy.\nInteracts with supplier contacts and assists with administration of outside vendors.\nConduct training on equipment and processes.\nInvolve relevant others in shaping plans and making decisions; participate in group efforts and encourage others’ participation; listen to co-workers’ concerns and aid as appropriate.\nOngoing development of associated equipment and processes to reduce costs, increase quality level and increase throughput.\nProvide information and general knowledge for all production-related issues.\nOngoing support of production as required.\nProvide support in root cause analysis for customer complaints (8D’S).\nLead projects for continuous improvement for the assigned KPI’S (OTD, Scrap reduction, efficiency)\n\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nUtilize a risk-based approach in assessing operational safety and process effectiveness.\nAs able, provides hands-on support for machine troubleshooting.\nEvaluate new equipment and technologies that apply to their assigned area.\nProvide documentation of all machine settings including work instructions and operation sheets.\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nKnowledge of relevant processes and equipment.
