This is a day shift position with hours varying to due to operational/seasonal needs. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed.Major Plant Operator/Maintenance responsibilities include (but not limited to);Assisting crew in all aspects of quarry operation as assignedOperating and maintaining heavy machineryMaintaining and repairing all equipmentProperly following all company policies and adhering to all governmental regulationsWelding, repair, and fabrication on rock crushing equipment associated with a quarry operationThe Ideal Plant Operator/Maintenance Candidate Will HaveHigh school diploma or GEDA focus on safety and a strong work ethicExperience operating and maintaining heavy equipmentA background in quarry operations is preferredA strong mechanical aptitudeProficiency in fabrication and welding is preferredA valid driver's license is preferredAbility to perform heavy lifting and rigorous physical activity in all weather conditionsWhat You'll GetAs a member of Local 150, you will get:Operator union rate of $38.30 ($2.00 less per hour during probation)Medical InsuranceUnion 401kUnion Retiree Medical Saving PlanPaid HolidaysVacation PlanThis is a great time to join our team.
