Make an impact by providing services that help the government ensure the well being and support of U.S. citizens.\nJob Description\nGDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) Product Development Office (PDO) under the Department of Chief Information Officer (DCIO) in Washington, DC.\nGDIT provides full software development lifecycle support for a variety of highly complex business critical systems, including COTS and customized solutions. Our support includes program and project management, business requirements analysis, solutions architecture, and software engineering within the AO to deliver systems for the Case Management and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) Portfolio, the Probation and Pretrial Services (PPS) Portfolio, and the National Applications Portfolio. The CM/ECF Software Developer will work as part of an agile development team to build and support enterprise-class software applications. The current technical environment includes Informix, Java/Spring Boot, Perl, shell scripts, HTML/ CSS/ JavaScript/ AngularJS, and mobile and web technologies.\nThe Senior Java Developer will execute the following responsibilities:\nParticipate in an agile team to deliver the full lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment.\nDesign, develop, and maintain code that meets requirements with high quality, and performs efficiently and effectively to provide great customer experience.\nIncorporate standards and best practices, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.\nUpdate and maintain system design documents.\nReview and provide feedback on functional and technical requirements.\nDefine and propose solutions for meeting requirements.\nContributing to improvements in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) utilizing practices such as test-driven development (TDD), static code analysis, code reviews, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated security scanning.\nWorking closely with solutions architects to ensure system design follows the industry best practices and standards that aligned with the Judiciary framework.\nInvesting in learning and the software development efficiency of the entire office through teamwork, personal responsibility, individual and group training, and process improvement.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree plus at least Seven years (7+) of experience in enterprise grade software development using Java/J2EE technology in a web-based environment.\nExpert level Java developer experience.\nExperience with Linux (Red Hat)\nSignificant experience with JSP and Servlets, or with Java Server Faces (JSF).\nExperience with RESTful web services.\nExperience in Spring Framework.\nExperience in automation of CI/CD pipelines.\nSQL and data modeling experience, including experience working with ORM tools/frameworks such as Hibernate (including working knowledge of JPA).\nExtensive experience developing applications in an agile environment.\nOutstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.\nGood written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong listening skills.\nExperience with Git or other distributed source control system\nWorking knowledge and experience in Federal IT security guidelines and practices and Section 508/ Accessibility.\nAbility to contribute on an individual basis as well as demonstrate strengths as a team player as a member of an agile team.\nExperience communicating and collaborating with other software developers, business owners, and management.\nPerl experience required\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\nExperience in technologies and frameworks such as Spring Framework, Angular, Docker, cloud native applications and understanding of cloud architecture, and security minded design and development.\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n7 + years of related experience\nmay vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\nCertification\nTravel Required\nNone\nSalary and Benefit Information\nThe likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385.
