Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has experience with the Java programming language, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nSupports program objectives to include software development in a collaborative agile environment.\nWorks with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.\nAssists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.\nAble to lead small high performing team of developers across the full software development lifecycle.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n10+ years in software engineering or related experience.\n5+ years of experience with Java for production level software.\nExperience with the Java Spring Framework.\nExperience with messaging frameworks (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).\nExperience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).\nAbility to work in both Windows and Linux environments.\nAn active TS/SCI Security Clearance with the ability to take and pass a CI polygraph within 30 days or at the customer's request.\nAbility to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date.\n\nDesired Skills and Experience\nFamiliarity with Agile Methodology.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD Pipelines (e.g. Jenkins).\nFamiliarity with database technologies (e.g. MongoDB).\nFamiliarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite.\nSecurity+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.\nKnowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations.\nAn active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.\n\nCompensation\nThe salary range for this role is $130,000 - $200,000.
