The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCommunicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.\n\nDay‑to‑day scheduling, counseling, and submitting evaluation reports to local management.\n\nConduct on‑scene accident investigations; assist drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports and safety violation documents.\n\nDevelop and host driver training and safety courses; train new drivers and re‑train drivers involved in accidents.\n\nObserve drivers on the road—correct safety problems on the scene while documenting violations.\n\nLiaison between drivers and both the customers and organization in customer service concerns.\n\nEvaluate and monitor driver safety and performance in compliance with legal, employment and labor policy matters.\n\nAssist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance—drug testing and recordkeeping. Drive routes periodically.\n\nOther duties as required.\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n\nValid Commercial Driver’s License.\n\nSupervisory experience with hourly employees; 2–3 years transit supervisory experience preferred.\n\nComputer literate—basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\n\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\n\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nWork outside in varying temperature, weather and humidity conditions—100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.\n\nSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.\n\nPush and pull objects up to 50 pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.\n\nWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\n\nAccommodations\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
