Learn more at growve.com.Cost Accountant Position OverviewThis position is very data driven and will be responsible for ensuring items/accounts/amounts are set up correctly on various platforms and monitored for accuracy, as information flows through our ERP and other platforms. This position will assist with inventory management, reviewing manufacturing orders for variances, and investigating ledger variances. Reporting to the Controller, this person will have a strong attention to detail, and the ability to recognize and identify errors. This is a FAST growing, and exciting company.Objectives And ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes the cost of materials, labor, overheads, and other direct or indirect costs associated with products.Coordinates maintenance of cost data, and accounts for manufacturing variances, scrap, rework cost, excess & obsolescence, and product returns through direct engagement of our production teams and produces internal metrics to enhance understanding and establish action items to aid in the control of these costs.Interacts with departments and procedures within the cost accounting function to study and assist in recommending and implementing process improvements.Provides cost accounting support to subsidiaries.Ensure compliance with US GAAP, and industry regulations. Assist in internal and external audits related to cost accounting.Prepares month end and year end closing entries and reconciliations. Skills And QualificationsExcellent analytical skills with a sound understanding of accounting principles.Proficient with MS Excel (Pivot tables, X-lookup, V-lookup, SUMIF)Education And ExperienceBachelors degree in accounting or finance.
