We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.\n\nAbout the Role\nBase is launching new products, new deployment models, and new facilities in rapid succession. As we scale from early-stage operations to a high-throughput deployment engine, we need someone who can engineer the processes that hold it all together. We are hiring a Deployments Engineer to own the end-to-end process architecture for our warehousing and logistics function—creating the playbooks, systems, and workflows that will allow us to replicate successful operations across any new market or product.\n\nThis is a process engineering role with a strong operational execution component. You will be embedded with the warehouse and manufacturing teams, solving hard problems with a first-principles mindset and leaving behind scalable, documented systems.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nCreate and maintain a comprehensive, living playbook with all processes, tasks, SOPs, and a master timeline to enable repeatable (“copy + paste”) warehouse standups.\n\nDocument all current-state workflows and identify gaps or inconsistencies that introduce risk or inefficiency.\n\nMaintain version control and communicate playbook updates to relevant stakeholders as processes evolve.\n\nLead process engineering efforts to support pivots and fulfillment of new projects and products as they arise.\n\nConduct root cause analysis on operational mistakes and implement systemic fixes.\n\nDesign physical and digital workflow improvements to reduce cycle times, errors, and operational costs.\n\nPartner with Software teams to translate process requirements into tooling features or automations and coordinate their implementation.\n\nServe as the operational liaison between manufacturing and deployment, ensuring handoff processes are well-defined and executed.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n\n3–6 years of experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, operations engineering, or a closely related field.\n\nDemonstrated ability to design, document, and implement scalable operational processes in a physical or hybrid (physical + digital) environment.\n\nExperience collaborating with manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\n\nStrong technical foundation—able to translate operational workflows into systems requirements and work credibly alongside software teams.\n\nExcellent written communication skills; able to produce clear, concise SOPs and process documentation that others can execute independently.\n\nFirst-principles thinking and comfort challenging the status quo with data and structured reasoning.\n\nExperience with ERP or WMS platforms is strongly preferred.\n\nAbout the Team\nThe Deployments Warehousing & Logistics team is responsible for the physical infrastructure that makes Base installs possible—managing warehouse locations, orchestrating inter-warehouse transfers, running final-mile logistics, and ensuring inventory accuracy across our internal systems. We solve the difficult, high impact problems that determine whether crews show up to job sites ready to work. Joining this team means owning processes that directly impact Base’s ability to scale and deliver on its mission.\n\nPlease note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.\n\n#J-18808-Ljbffr","company":"Base Power","rawCompany":"base power","city":"Austin","state":"TX","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-07-16T03:41:16.260Z","occupations":[{"code":"13-1081.01","title":"Logistics Engineers","slug":"logistics-engineers"},{"code":"13-1081.00","title":"Logisticians","slug":"logisticians"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"}],"industries":[{"code":"493110","title":"General Warehousing and Storage","slug":"general-warehousing-and-storage"},{"code":"493190","title":"Other Warehousing and Storage","slug":"other-warehousing-and-storage"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Deployment Engineer (Logistics & Distribution)","description":"About Base\nBase is America’s next-generation power company.
