Medical Transport Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Medical Transport Driver to join our dedicated healthcare transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and care facilities using your own reliable vehicle. Duties Safely transport patients and, when applicable, medical staff to and from scheduled destinations using your personal vehicle in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including securing mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers when needed. Ensure your vehicle remains clean, well-maintained, and in safe operating condition at all times. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and ensure timely arrivals. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing passenger needs with professionalism, patience, and empathy. Comply with all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies to maintain passenger safety. Perform light to moderate lifting when necessary to assist with mobility devices or personal belongings. Qualifications Proven experience in medical transport, shuttle driving, delivery driving, or similar transportation roles. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle suitable for patient transportation. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, healthcare staff, and team members. Knowledge of local traffic laws, safety regulations, and safe driving practices. Experience with paratransit services or heavy lifting is preferred but not required. Ability to maintain your vehicle in compliance with safety and operational requirements. Prior customer service experience is highly desirable.
