The ideal candidate would be able to excel in a fast-paced environment to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the energy management platforms. Successful analysts are given greater responsibility and input into energy management decisions, with the opportunity to grow into any number of senior-level positions leveraging the analyst's greatest strengths and value-add.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop market reports, update market data, and perform ad-hoc requests\nSupport billing and settlements platform\nSupport portfolio management team and underlying power and natural gas portfolios\nEstablish and infuse organization with drive, professionalism, positive attitude, and high-quality business practices\nTake independent action on handling requests; determine the appropriate course of action, intervene when necessary, and act as a liaison between stakeholders\nInterpret and relay company information, inform Portfolio Managers of any deviation on items requiring personal attention\n\nBasic Requirements\nBachelor's degree with minimum 3.5 GPA required\nMinimum of 2 years work experience in an analyst position\nAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite\nAbility to demonstrate strong technical skills and keep attention to detail\n\nPreferred Requirements\nAble to successfully multitask, work towards extremely challenging goals, and persist in the face of obstacles\nAble to effectively handle difficult requests, build long-term relationships with the business, and be able to manage expectations\nSelf-starter who thinks ahead, anticipates questions, finds alternative solutions, and identifies clear objectives\nStrong analytical skills and organizational skills\nCritical thinking, ability to suggest improvements and identify risks\nAble to adapt to changes and new challenges\nAble to communicate effectively and maintain a high level of confidentiality\nAble to demonstrate accuracy, good judgment, initiative and discretion in business related transactions\nExperience in deregulated power and gas industry preferred, but not required\nABOUT OPTIMAL FACILITY MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS, LLC (\"OFMS\")\n\nOFMS is a leading managed institutional commodities firm that provides energy risk management services to large energy users spending greater than $5 million/year on power and gas.
