The Data Analyst and Visualization Specialist needs to identify all the possible data points to analyze and drive insights. Be a subject matter expert for assigned business unit and provide advice to business partners on the effective use of data and insights to make better business decisions. This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nResponsible for identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets\r\nEnsures a proper understanding of the customer problem and the questions that need to be answered using data in order for a customer project to succeed\r\nCollaborate with business users and analyze the data and report on provider network severity, call acceptance, call center performance, partner reporting, marketing channel effectiveness, sales analysis, customer experience, and processing the claims\r\nTranslate business requirements and unstructured business issues into data analytic problems\r\nCollaborate with business users to develop, build, and implement the well governed and structured reporting capabilities for Allstate partners, agents, and consumers\r\nManage data as a strategic asset by ensuring team provides trusted, secure, quality data\r\nTroubleshoot data quality issues\r\nCreate and maintain excellent data documentation that allows the data to be understood (Metadata) and leveraged for additional use\r\nCreate best practices for testing/profiling of data to ensure proper operation and accuracy\r\nEffectively communicate technical analyses and results to analytics leaders\r\nSupervisory Responsibilities\r\nThis job does not have supervisory duties.\r\nFunctional Skills\r\nDetailed knowledge of Roadside Network Operations in Insurance industry and a strong understanding of business processes, including business operations, business delivery models and business revenue models\r\nAdvanced data management, quality assurance and data flow skills\r\nExperience using SAS, R, SPSS or other programming language.\r\nGood Knowledge of database client software (i.e. TOAD, SQL+, SQL Developer)\r\nExperience in data extraction, data manipulation, analysis and reporting required\r\nWorking knowledge of relational databases required\r\nExperience with BI tool such as Business Objects and Tableau\r\nMicrosoft Office experience required\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience\r\nAllied Global Marketing is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
