This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of technology and business, and who can guide teams through the full software development lifecycle—including AI-driven initiatives—while interfacing directly with executive stakeholders.\r\nResponsibilities Lead and mentor a team of software engineers working across Ruby on Rails, React, and PostgreSQL stacks.\r\nProactively communicate team progress and technical details to executive leadership, translating team-level activities into strategic updates for senior stakeholders.\r\nAct as a product owner for two software product lines: triage, adjudicate, and prioritize incoming business requests, break down problems, and funnel work to the team effectively.\r\nArchitect scalable, forward-looking solutions that address current and future business needs.\r\nDrive the implementation of AI-enhanced SDLC practices, ensuring intelligent and efficient development workflows.\r\nInterface regularly with executive leadership to align technical strategy with business objectives.\r\nOversee technology demand governance, ensuring prioritization and resource alignment across initiatives.\r\nAct as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable development plans.\r\nOversee project planning, sprint execution, code reviews, and deployment strategies.\r\nFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.\r\nEnsure software quality, security, and maintainability across all projects.\r\nRequired Qualifications Proven experience managing software development teams.\r\nStrong proficiency in: Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, AI SDLC implementation (e.g., using AI tools for Code generation, testing, or optimization).\r\nPreferred Qualifications Experience in energy procurement, energy efficiency, or facility asset management.\r\nExperience in enterprise-scale systems or SaaS platforms.\r\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\r\nBackground in data-driven product development or AI/ML integration.\r\nSkilled in working with Mapbox and Swift (iOS) platforms.\r\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\r\nSkilled in conflict resolution, team motivation, and cross-functional collaboration.\r\nDemonstrated experience interfacing with executives and translating strategic goals into technical execution.\r\nDeep technical expertise and credibility to earn the respect of the development team.
