About this position\nThe Productivity, Trade and Innovation Sector (PTI) of the Vice-Presidency for Sectors and\nKnowledge (VPS) supports regional integration into the global economy and cooperation through\nlending operations, technical assistance and applied economic and sector work.\nWithin PTI, the Private Sector, Synergies and Trade Unit (PST) leads several flagship initiatives that\nengage directly with private-sector stakeholders across the region and beyond.\nTo support these initiatives, PST is building a centralized and comprehensive private-sector user\ndatabase that consolidates information from multiple channels and programs. Salesforce will be\nthe core platform supporting this effort, serving as the system of record for private-sector users,\nleads, organizations, and interactions across PST initiatives.\n2. Background and Objective\nThe objective of this engagement is to provide Salesforce development services to support the\ndesign, configuration, and enhancement of Salesforce solutions for PTI/PST, with a strong focus on\nExperience Cloud, Lead processes, and small-to-medium custom developments.\nThe developer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, following established governance,\nsecurity, and DevOps practices, and will actively contribute to a CI/CD-based delivery model using\nGit-based tools.\nIn addition, the developer will support the team in identifying, documenting, and implementing user\njourneys and intake flows, and in providing recommendations to optimize Salesforce configurations\nand processes. The developer will also help assess, and implement—when appropriate—\nSalesforce plugins, integrations, or add-ons that improve the efficiency of data collection,\nprocessing, and management, with the objective of maximizing the Units existing data,\nengagement and operational effectiveness with private-sector stakeholders.\n3. Scope of Work\nThe Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the following activities:\n3.1. Experience Cloud Development\nConfigure and enhance Experience Cloud sites (templates, pages, components, navigation,\nbranding).\nImplement authenticated and unauthenticated user experiences, including profiles,\npermission sets, and sharing models.\nConfigure forms and intake flows using standard Salesforce tools (flows, LWCs, standard\ncomponents).\nImplement user journeys and intake flows, and provide recommendations to optimize\nSalesforce configurations and processes.\n3.2. Data Model, Lead Processes, and Intake Automation\nConfigure and customize standard and custom objects, including fields, page layouts,\nrecord types, validation rules, and automation.\nImplement Lead intake and routing logic, including assignment rules, queues, and\nconversion processes.\nSupport intake processes using flows, approvals, and automation aligned with business\nrequirements.\nEnsure configurations follow best practices for scalability, maintainability, and security.\nImport existing data (currently registered in Excel files) into Salesforce.\n3.3. Custom Development and Enhancements\nDevelop Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Apex (as needed) for small to medium\nenhancements.\nImplement business rules, validations, and automation not covered by standard\nconfiguration.\nTroubleshoot and resolve defects across declarative and programmatic components.\nAssess, and implement—when appropriate—Salesforce plugins, integrations, or add-ons\nthat improve the efficiency of data collection, processing, and management.\nProduce technical documentation and implementation notes as required.\n3.4. CI/CD and DevOps Practices\nActively use Git-based version control as part of daily development work.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gearset, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or\nsimilar).\nFollow branching strategies, pull request reviews, and deployment procedures.\nSupport deployments across multiple environments (e.g., Dev, QA, UAT, Production).\nEnsure metadata changes are properly tracked, tested, and validated before deployment.\nDeliverables\nDocumented and validated functional and technical requirements.\nConfigured and deployed Experience Cloud components and pages.\nConfigured objects, Lead processes, and automation.\nImported user data from other existing sources.\nCustom components and enhancements aligned with requirements.\nDeployment packages delivered through CI/CD pipelines.\nTechnical documentation and configuration notes.\nKnowledge transfer as required.\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\n4.1. Mandatory Skills\nProven experience as a Salesforce Developer.\nHands-on experience with Experience Cloud.\nStrong knowledge of Salesforce configuration (objects, Leads, Flows, validation rules,\nsecurity).\nExperience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC).\nPractical experience with Git-based version control.\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.\n4.2 Desirable Skills\nExperience with tools such as Gearset.\nExperience with Apex testing and deployment best practices.\nFamiliarity with Salesforce security and sharing models.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\n6.
