Kinsa is recruiting for a: Maintenance Manager - Beverage Items Location : Norfolk, VA AreaMission:Our client, a producer of premium beverage products, is looking for a Maintenance Manager to add to their team. In this role you will be responsible for all maintenance related functions; processing, packaging, and facilities are executed effectively for efficient plant operations and limited down time across all areas of manufacturing.Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below).Compensation/Benefits:Compensation: 120-140k, 20% bonusMedical, Dental, VisionPaid Vacation/HolidaysRetirement BenefitsRelocationWhat you'll be responsible for:Oversee maintenance operations and implement plans to reduce downtimeManage shutdowns and PMs closely - directing teams to minimize business impactManage and set budgets for processing, packaging, facilities, parts (storeroom), utilities (tbd), repairs, preventative, security, housekeeping/sanitation, etc.Monitor plant and equipment trends to ensure reduction of planned and unplanned downtimesPropose and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with the best practicesFacilitate the evolution/refinement of maintenance activities to minimize planned and unplanned downtime (PM's, changeovers, etc.)Maintain processing, packaging equipment, and facility systems, decreasing unplanned downtime and growing reliability and availabilityLead loss elimination, risk management, and life cycle asset management principles to sustain proactive and planned maintenance programs across all departments in manufacturing (roasting, blending, grinding, production, etc.)Ensure supervisors and technicians document and input necessary data for the evaluation of trends, such as equipment history and efficienciesConduct gap assessments for all repairs/modifications and ensure team members are working on the right projects based on capability and skillsetDrive innovation through the development of best practices and the identification of industry trends and tools that would contribute to strategic goalsManage special projects, including CapEx initiatives as neededManage service contracts, HVAC, powered lifts, EHS partnerships/fire, safetyCompile reports for ops, payrolls, and other day/day as neededCompetencies/Culture:Bachelor's degree in industrial technology, engineering or related field, Master's Preferred7+ years of maintenance leadership experience in food processing environmentDirect experience working for a CPG company, or in a high-volume packaged goods environmentMust have extensive experience in Root Cause Failure AnalysisMust have knowledge of Food Defense criteriaProject management skills: able to prioritize many high-profile projectsK nowledge of industrial mechanical, reliability/preventative maintenance, electrical, and PLC systemsStrong knowledge of CMMS Systems, PM Optimization, and Predictive Maintenance TechnologiesFamiliarity with CMNS (Hexagon) strongly preferredMust have experience presenting cost drivers in maintenance within a manufacturing operationReferrals are our best source for the top talent our clients need so if you know of anyone with these skills in the food and beverage industry, please pass me their name and email/phone number, or share this job posting with them.
