This role installs assemblies into units, places insulation into metal panels, and installs motors and blowers into frames. The General Assembler may be required to perform other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.RESPONSIBILITIESAssemble sheet metal components, mechanical sub-assemblies, motors, and blowers according to work instructions and engineering specifications.\r\nInstall completed assemblies and sub-assemblies into units, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and function.\r\nInsert and secure insulation materials into metal panels following safety and quality standards.\r\nUse hand tools, power tools, and production equipment to perform assembly operations accurately and efficiently.\r\nRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and production schedules to determine assembly requirements.\r\nPerform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet established standards and resolve basic assembly issues as they arise.\r\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety policies and procedures.\r\nCommunicate any material shortages, equipment issues, or process concerns to supervisors promptly.\r\nSupport continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety.\r\nFollow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production guidelines.\r\nPerform other duties as required.\r\nQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\r\nPrior manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required.\r\nAbility to read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.\r\nFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical assembly practices.\r\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately and consistently.\r\nAbility to stand, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.\r\nDemonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\r\nGood communication skills and willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.\r\nBasic understanding of safety procedures and commitment to safe work practices.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in a manufacturing environment involving sheet metal, mechanical assembly, or HVAC components.\r\nAbility to operate basic production equipment or machinery.\r\nExperience working with insulated panels, motors, or blower assemblies.\r\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.\r\nForklift or pallet jack experience (if applicable to the facility).\r\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIREDTravel is not required for this role\r\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS:Safety.
