The BI Developer will work in support of all managers and users requiring data for all areas of the Business.\n**This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.**\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop ETL jobs to move, transform and deliver data for end user consumption.\nLeverage developer software tools to automate, improve, or change business processes and procedures.\nBased on previous experience, provide input and best practice feedback for the software development life cycle methodologies, processes, and procedures.\nDesign and execute unit testing procedures.\nAnalyze existing code and make updates to improve performance.\nPerform thorough code reviews, with a strong emphasis on structural issues, code maintainability and performance.\nProvide estimates for development work and adhere to deadlines.\nStay up to date with current technology enhancements and suggest alternate solutions.\nEnsures optimum service to all internal and external partners in response to all requests for service and information.\nWorks collaboratively with the team and reporting officials to resolve data discrepancies as requested by management.\nProvide data modeling and data warehousing solutions.\nAssists in implanting effective business analytics practices that drive improved decision making, efficiency and performance.\nCommunicates with nontechnical business users to determine specific business requirements for reports and business intelligence solutions.\nProcesses data extracts using data retrieval and management tools.\nDesign and build data models using SQL.\nTranslate business requirements into dimensional models.\nMaintain and build upon the semantic layer and measure/attribute definitions.\nAssists with all other duties as assigned.\nQualifications and Requirements:\nExperience with building, deploying, and maintaining solutions in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure and Oracle).\nExperience with Github or similar version control software.\nExperience with automation scripting in both Windows and Linux environments.\nExperience with Python and SQL.\nAptitude for analyzing data and business processes.\nUnderstanding of REST web services and architecture technologies including Flask, Javascript, XML, and JSON.\nAbility to build technical designs from functional requirements.\nExperience building efficient and durable ETL/ELT pipelines.\nExperience with big data technologies like Hadoop/HDFS, Hive and Spark.\nFerguson is dedicated to providing meaningful benefits programs and products to our associates and their families—geared toward benefits, wellness, financial protection, and retirement savings.
