We shake things up to bring our guest experience to the next level—with some flair, and a touch of showmanship.We have the best location in the city, an epic rooftop bar, and a stunning art collection —now we just need you to keep our canvas looking fresh, crisp, and flawless.What We Offer (The Perks)Pay: $16.50/hour (Full-Time) + Time-and-a-half for any overtime hours over 40 in a week.Flexibility: Access your earned but unpaid wages before payday via PayActiv.Lifestyle: Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, and a Tuition Reimbursement Program.Discounts: Generous employee rates at all Avocet-owned hotels and restaurants.Benefits: Affordable Medical/Dental/Vision plans, 401(k) with employer matching up to 3.5%, and company-provided life insurance.Location: 19 Vendue Range—steps away from Waterfront Park, Charleston City Market, and Rainbow Row.What You’ll Do (Primary Duties)You'll handle the vital behind-the-scenes magic that ensures our property always shines.Master of Machinery: Operate and monitor our washing, drying, and folding equipment with absolute care.Fabric Curator: Sort, wash, fold, and properly store linens, towels, and other laundry items based on color and fabric type.Eye for Perfection: Inspect linens and towels for stains or damages to maintain our premium aesthetic standards.Keep It Seamless: Maintain a spotless, organized laundry area and assist with supply inventory tracking.Who You Are (Job Requirements)Educated: High school diploma or equivalent required.Experienced: 1+ years of experience is a major plus, but a great work ethic is key.Capable: Speedy and accurate under pressure, highly organized, self-motivated, and a great team player.Communicative: Fluent in English to coordinate smoothly with the team and follow safety directions (translator apps are welcome!).Flexible: Ready to maintain punctual attendance and work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demand.Physical: Professional in appearance, able to navigate stairs, stand/walk for your shift, and comfortably lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.Think you can match our moxie?
