This person reports to the Milford base Manufacturing Supervisor.\r\nAssembler\r\nThe Electro-Mechanical Assembler works in a one-piece flow cell performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools. This is for the specialized computers and displays and requires assembling ESD sensitive delicate components and cables. Positive attitude and team player. Ability to read and write English. Able to work with limited supervision in a team environment. Demonstrate knowledge/capability to build and possibly do limited testing on units on manufacturing floor.\r\nTechnical Capacity-ability to understand the parts, drawings and bill of materials (BOM).\r\nLearning Orientation-ability/desire to learn different product lines and Lean manufacturing.\r\nTime Management-ability to work effectively in fixed capacity production line.\r\nThoroughness-extremely attentive to accuracy and detail.\r\nTeam Player-works well as a member of a team or a group\r\nResponsibilities:\r\nFunction in Lean manufacturing environment, adding value by reducing waste.\r\nUnderstands Assemble/test parts using drawings, bill of material.\r\nAbility to use common hand and power tools, may require use of specialized tools\r\nFollow documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and proper functioning of parts\r\nMeet job completion and ship dates\r\nReports defective materials or questionable conditions to the production supervisor\r\nMaintain good housekeeping of area\r\nAssist in other manufacturing cells as required\r\nAssembly requires medium to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.Please note that this position will be dedicated to working with customers operating under U.S. export control rules (including ITAR). As a result, this position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls, including restrictions on who may have access.
