We are a fast-paced flower shop that specializes in high-volume everyday floral design as well as custom designs and baskets for all occasions located in Wilmington, DE. Job Description: As the Floral Shop Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our talented team of florists to be productive, positive, and customer-focused. Design experience is required, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the floral department, the sales department, delivery department, implementing accountability measures, and ensuring outstanding customer attention. Responsibilities: Lead and motivate a team of florists, instilling a strong work ethic and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Implement performance management strategies to address and correct any behavior issues, including setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and holding individuals accountable for their actions and contributions. Manage daily operations of the floral boutique, including inventory control, purchasing, customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. Collaborate with our talented design team to create unique and visually stunning floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring they meet customer specifications and exceed their expectations. Provide exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure our customers receive personalized attention and leave satisfied. Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and increase revenue, including identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and creating an exceptional customer experience. Foster a culture of teamwork, open communication, and respect, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment. Maintain a clean and organized shop, adhering to health and safety regulations. Stay up-to-date with the latest floral trends, techniques, and industry developments. Requirements: Experience in management/supervisory. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal communication skills Problem-solving aptitude Basic excel knowledge Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of maintaining a positive and productive environment. Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities to address and correct issues effectively. Accountability mindset, with the ability to implement performance measures and hold individuals accountable for their actions and contributions. Creative mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of floral industry trends, seasonal flowers, and plant care is a plus. Availability to work on floral holidays: Candidates must be able to work on floral holidays, as these are considered mandatory work days for this position. Previous experience in a floral shop is preferred, but not required. Design experience is not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods of time, push and pull/grip and grasp/push and pull various objects throughout the workplace.
