Tax Manager

Job Description We are seeking an experienced tax manager to join our team, or tax senior who will grow into a tax manager. The Tax Manager's role will be working with our other tax managers in overseeing and managing the company's tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies for our clients.We offer great work/life balance with tax season hourly requirements at 55 hours per week and have summer hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Non-tax season schedules are also flexible. We also offer a commission structure for clients you bring into the firm.Responsibilities:Participate in leading our tax team, including training and mentoring tax staffResearch, develop and implement tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulationsIn charge of reviewing federal, state, and local tax returnsProvide guidance on tax implications of business decisions to clientsCollaborate with internal teams and clients to gather necessary financial information for tax reportingStay updated on changes in tax laws and regulationsSkills:Strong leadership and communication skillsExperience in managing staff and tax engagementsFamiliarity with Lacerte a plusIf you are a proactive Tax Manager with a solid understanding of tax laws and regulations, we invite you to apply for this position.Company DescriptionManning Silverman & Company is a growing CPA firm in Lincolnshire, IL with clients located nationwide.
