To be successful as a mitigation technician, the employee must be physically capable, have a keen understanding of safety gear, and be able to follow instructions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition services in accordance with company procedures and IICRC industry standards under the direction of the Mitigation Manager.\n\nAssess damaged areas and assist in determining the scope of work, including identifying salvageable and non-salvageable materials.\n\nSet up, monitor, and remove drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and moisture monitoring devices.\n\nPerform extraction, debris removal, demolition, cleaning, sanitizing, and contents handling activities as required to stabilize and restore properties.\n\nDocument job progress through photos, moisture readings, sketches, and daily job notes using company-approved systems and software.\n\nCommunicate professionally with customers regarding project status, job expectations, and daily activities while maintaining a high level of customer service.\n\nFollow all company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard communication, and safe equipment operation practices.\n\nDrive and operate company vehicles, trailers, and restoration equipment safely and responsibly.\n\nMaintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and operational condition.\n\nReachable by phone during waiting to be engaged periods, but otherwise free to use your time for personal activities unless contacted to report for duty.\n\nAssist with containment setup, negative air systems, and site protection measures to prevent cross-contamination during mitigation activities.\n\nLoad, unload, inventory, and transport equipment, materials, and contents between job sites, warehouses, and storage facilities.\n\nSupport warehouse organization, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep as needed.\n\nParticipate in required training, certification programs, safety meetings, and continuing education activities.\n\nCollaborate with team members, supervisors, subcontractors, and other departments to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to quality standards.\n\nPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business operations and customer needs.\n\nCompetencies\n\nCommitment to Excellence - Maintains high personal standards and expectations and expects others to maintain a similar commitment.
