As a System Test Engineer, you will lead the creation, implementation and execution of the System Test Plan for new product development projects and the maintenance of existing products, working closely with the Engineering Design Team to validate systems, firmware and software design and implementation changes on safety and security products.\nResponsibilities Lead the creation, implementation, and execution of the System Test Plan for new product development projects and the maintenance of existing products.\nCollaborate closely with the Engineering Design Team to validate systems, firmware, and software design and implementation changes.\nEnsure that products meet defined system and firmware requirements by working closely with systems and firmware engineers.\nDevelop and utilize automation tools and techniques to create and execute comprehensive test cases for full product validation.\nIndependently implement test cases, automation scripts, new test methodologies, tools, and fixturing as required.\nCollaborate with other system test engineers in the US and India to execute system test cycles for assigned products.\nFocus on product development and sustaining test activities within an IoT environment, including electro‑mechanical locking devices, gateway/bridge communication, access control, mobile applications, and cloud components.\nDemonstrate expertise in IoT test development for wireless communication between connected devices within a networked space.\nDevelop custom internal software tools to automate software testing interfaces.\nQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n0 to 5+ years of experience in new product development focused on systems, firmware, and software testing.\nStrong interest in working in a hands‑on lab environment with products and test equipment.\nPassion for creating and executing test plans on security products and software.\nDesire to develop automated testing methods for product validation of systems and firmware.\nAbility to work within engineering teams throughout the product design process, from concept to production.\nStrong problem‑solving skills and a keen interest in resolution.\nAdaptability to work in a dynamic environment where product scope and requirements may change during any phase of a project.\nCreative thinker with high initiative and achievement goals.\nWillingness to collaborate with international engineering teams, particularly in India.\nPreferred Qualifications Familiarity with National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW software.\nExperience with Python scripting.\nExperience in automated test development.\nBenefits Health, dental and vision insurance coverage.\n401(k) plan with 6% company match and no vesting period.\nTuition reimbursement.\nUnlimited PTO.\nEmployee discounts through Perks at Work.\nCommunity involvement and opportunities to give back.\nOpportunities to leverage strengths through CliftonStrengths testing and coaching.\nEqual Opportunity Statement Allegion is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
