{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"39fd52d6d52b9fed3f99d084","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/39fd52d6d52b9fed3f99d084","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/39fd52d6d52b9fed3f99d084","title":"Software Developer","description":"Essential Functions / Job Duties:\n\nModifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.\nAnalyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.\nConsulting with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.\nDesigning and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences.\nPreparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.\nConferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.\nInteract with Business Analysts to understand and interpret requirements.\nCreate, contribute to and interpret process flows to support application development\nInterpret project artifacts (Use Cases, User Stories, Epics, Work Packages, and JIRA tickets) to support the development of software and successful delivery of the project.\nIdentify process improvement areas with business process and application flow and work with the teams to prioritize and implement improvements.\nCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.\nProactively communicate and collaborate with team members and leadership to facilitate the creation and maintenance of a high-performance software development team.\nWork with Business Analysts and SMEs to facilitate User Acceptance testing and end of sprint demonstrations\nCollaborate with the support team to provide ongoing operational technical support for users\nCreate appropriate documentation and code annotations for all software developed\nProvide assistance to Business Analysts and SQA by testing at various stages in the process\nIdentify and escalate Change Requests and delivery variance to Project Management\nIdentify project risks and issues escalating those to Project Management\n\nQualifications\n\nSoftware development experience working closely with diverse software development teams\nStrong understanding of computer technologies; ability to anticipate, identify and overcome the technical risks involved with software product development (required)\nExperience using Agile concepts in the Software Development Lifecycle\nDemonstrated career growth and development with increasing responsibility\nUnderstanding of Atlassian team management tools or similar\nStrong verbal and written communications skills to write clearly and concisely in English (required)\nBachelor's degree in computer science, related degree or equivalent work experience\nThe desire to work in a fast-paced environment.\nUnderstanding of and commitment to test-driven development\nCreativity is always a plus\nStrong understanding of the concepts of software engineering\nExperience working on a variety of software development projects\n\nBnkToTheFuture is hiring several developer positions at both Junior and Senior levels.
