You will be responsible for modernizing an existing application by designing, developing, and deploying applications using AWS tools and services. This will be a Remote role, and candidates MUST have an active SECRET Clearance. In addition, candidates also must have or be able to obtain a Security+ certification. Required SkillsThe ideal candidate should be able to manage and maintain cloud-based database systems. Design, implement, and administer databases in a cloud environment. Monitor database performance and conduct performance tuning for views, stored procedures and user defined functions. Work closely with IT team members to ensure data availability and consistency by implementing backup and recovery plans. The candidate must be able to implement and maintain security using DISA checklist for SQL Server STIGs (server and instance).The Database Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Analyze functional requirements and convert to SQL logic Troubleshoot SQL logic errors Facilitate data modeling sessions with stakeholders Continually track and implement SQL Server best practices as they evolve Conduct server health checks and resolve issues (e.g. hard drive space and security posture) Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trendsRequired ExperienceActive Secret Clearance – can start with an Interim Secret ClearanceSecurity+Bachelor’s DegreeMinimum of 5 years of experience with SQL Server development and server managementPreferred SkillsAWS Practitioner CertificationAbility to read data modelsCALIBRE and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports transitioning service members, veterans and individuals with disabilities.
