The ideal candidate for the Production Artist role is a creative problem solver with a passion for graphic design and digital printing. The candidate will be responsible for creating production-ready artwork, managing digital printers, and ensuring the quality of printed materials. The Production Artist must be tech-savvy, teamwork-oriented, highly creative, and comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Applications should include a strong portfolio demonstrating creative flair, versatility, and originality. Job Responsibilities: Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create production-ready artwork. Prepare job files and QC artwork using Adobe Illustrator. Assist in the preparation and presentation of design proofs. Create various layouts, iconography, package designs, website designs, logos, and illustrations according to client specifications. Collaborate with team members, art director, and other project participants to ensure efficient production flow and understanding of assignments. Revise projects as necessary based on a collaborative feedback process. Answer artwork-related queries and provide support to the customer service team. Implement color theory principles to maintain consistency and quality in designs. Load printing equipment with appropriate material according to customer specifications. Coordinate jobs at the printers using the machine’s software. View the print job while it’s running to ensure quality and avoid printer errors and color flaws. Follow job specifications for the finishing process and deliver orders appropriately. Rip digital files for production. Load/unload the finished product from the machine. Make efficient use of inventory on hand. Operate all print equipment. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: 1-2 years of graphic design experience within industries such as Promotional, Displays, Print, Packaging, or Apparel preferred High school diploma or equivalent On-the-job training provided Experience using a Vortex Printing Machine is strongly preferred Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Basic knowledge and experience in web development preferred Able to operate various printing machines and related software Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas effectively Ability to follow instructions.
