You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal platform performance, cost efficiency, and alignment with best practices.\n\nThe ideal candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of AWS Platform & Services, Software Engineering, DevOps practices, and Problem solving skills.\n\nThe Role\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain a scalable multi-account AWS platform, leveraging services like AWS Organizations, VPC, IAM, EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.\nDevelop and manage infrastructure using tools like AWS CDK and Cloudformation.\nManage secure connectivity using technologies like AWS PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect.\nImplement and maintain secure access controls and guardrails using AWS Control Tower, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and IAM.\nEngage and improve the lifecycle of the AWS platform and services - from development to deployment, operation, and refinement.\nScale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.\nPractice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortem.\n\nAll About You\n\n3+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or similar roles.\nHands-on experience with AWS services like Lambda, EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, etc.\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (AWS CDK).\nStrong knowledge of networking in AWS (VPC, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, etc.).\nExperience with CI/CD tools like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, BitBucket/GitHub, Artifactory, Sonarqube, etc.\nStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and experience applying them in languages like Python or Java.\nScripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.\nStrong knowledge of the best practices around Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting solutions.\nExperience with software deployment and configuration automation.\nExpertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale systems.\nAbility to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.\nSystematic problem-solving approach, with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nAWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.\nFamiliarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.\nHands-on experience with AWS Control Tower, including setting up guardrails, managing Service Control Policies (SCPs), and configuring Landing Zones.\nKnowledge of security best practices and frameworks.\nMastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
