Periodic scheduled after-hours work for patching and reboots\n\nNorth Point Technology is hiring a mid-level SQL Server DBA to support GPO's SQL Server and SQL Cluster environment alongside a senior SQL DBA.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n\nAdminister SQL Server, SQL Clusters, and standalone SQL databases\nExecute patching, installs, and routine maintenance\nImplement and test failovers, backups, and restores\nSupport MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS Access databases\nTroubleshoot database and application issues, including SharePoint\nWork ServiceNow tickets and RFCs within SLAs\nMonitor systems with Idera and SolarWinds and build dashboards\nContribute to weekly activity reports\n\nWhat you need:\n\n4+ years of database administration experience, primarily SQL Server\nExperience with SQL Clustering, T-SQL, and SQL scripting\nExposure to Oracle, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB\nExperience creating and managing standalone SQL databases\nAbility to work independently and communicate clearly\n\nPreferred:\n\nMicrosoft SQL Server or Azure data certification\nFederal support experience\n\nNorth Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country's most crucial missions!
