{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"39d45ba6184d2bc83bfc3eaf","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/39d45ba6184d2bc83bfc3eaf","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/39d45ba6184d2bc83bfc3eaf","title":"2nd Shift Supervisor","description":"Production Supervisor\n\nJob Summary: To plan, organize, direct and run day to day operations for department.\n\nReports To: Manufacturing Manager Full Time/ Hours 40-45/ week\n\nResponsibilities and Duties:\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives\nParticipate in various activities related to safety, quality, innovation, people management, and HR\nBe responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping for department\nAllocate resources effectively\nBuild and maintain a trusting relationship with employees\nCommunicate with employees about performance expectations\nGive useful feedback to employees\nEnsure smooth daily operations\nAdhere to and enforce company rules and regulations\nHelp create processes and procedures\nEnsure that department stays on schedule\nIdentify and utilize methods of making manufacturing processes more efficient and effective\nTrain, mentor, and evaluate machine operators\nAssist in the trouble shooting and repairing of problem machines\nAssist Quality Manager in the development and implementation of corrective and preventative actions\nRun equipment when necessary to meet customer requirements\nOther duties as assigned\n\nSkills:\n\nEngineering and Technology — Applying principles, techniques and procedures to the design and production of various goods and services.\nMathematics — Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and percentages quickly and correctly.\nAdministration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.\nProduction and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution\n\nof goods.\n\n Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
