This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have a Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline. You will design, draft, and release engineering parts, modifications, assemblies, and installations for flight test instrumentation for both military and commercial air frames.Job DutiesPerform administrative and technical tasks required to support development of lab test detail, assembly, and installation drawings and models, including associated work within the ENOVIA Product Data manager Develop 2D installation drawings and 3D models Employ aerospace industry wiring installation practices including system separation, as well as common aerospace industry mechanical design standards Coordinate design reviews with appropriate Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), (e.g. Program Stress Engineering, Tech Design team, Design Engineering teams) to obtain design approvals and drafting checks prior to completion of task. Accurately perform medium complexity numerical stack-up calculations and GD&T functions Assist with the release process for drawings and models Develops solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems which require ingenuity and innovation Hands on fabrication, assembly, or maintenance experience Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent certification Four+ years total experience in CAD hardware design (CATIA V5) Prior knowledge of flight test instrumentation including strain gauges, accelerometers, cameras, pressure transducers, hydraulic tubing design, and wiring harnesses/connectors Proven ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions in both design and implementation stages. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to make plans and directional recommendations collaboratively and cross-functionally. Ability to engineer creative, new approaches to problems. Must be a US Person Preferred Qualifications & SkillsPrior experience with CATIA V5 Tubing Workbench Knowledge and application of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) Familiarity with Boeing design release process We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $80,000 to $115,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
