And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.\n\nTo learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit www.amcor.com I LinkedIn I Glassdoor I Facebook I YouTube\n\nJob Description\n\nPosition Summary\n\nThe EHS Specialist works under the direct supervision of the site EHS Manger to plan, direct, and implement Amcor’s environmental, health and safety program to ensure a safe and incident-free work environment.\n\nRoles and responsibilities\n\nDuties include but are not limited to the following:\n\nEssential function(s)\n\nDevelop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.\nPrepare monthly accident summary reports.\nAssist with incident investigations\nConduct and/or coordinates employee safety and environmental training programs.\nPerform daily safety walks and assist with identifying and correction of work place hazards and unsafe conditions.\nWork with and assist on-site teams with risk assessment.\n\nAssist in maintaining OSHA 300 Logs and relevant reports.\n\nAssist in scheduling training courses/classes for in-house training opportunities.\nUnderstand Emergency Procedure and assist in scheduled drills.\nAssist in the Safety Committee and First Responder tasks.\nAssist in Management of Change procedures.\n\nAssist in workers compensation reporting.\n\nConduct incident reporting using the GDC incident-reporting database.\nIdentify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.\nInvestigate all accidents and property losses.\nProvide Supervisors/Group leaders with safety training information for monthly safety meetings.\nOrganize and oversee all required safety training, i.e. fork truck, lockout, etc.\nProvide safety orientation to new employees using the New Hire Onboarding Process.\nConduct chemical inventory and updating of SDS using Cornerstone Environmental, Health and Safety database.\nAssist in purchasing appropriate personal protective equipment.\nPerform other duties as assigned, in support of the EHS Framework under the direct supervision of the EHS manager.\n\nQualifications\n\nHave strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence people and drive change.\nExceptional organizational skills\nMust possess time management skills and have the ability to meet deadlines.\nWorks well independently and in a group environment.\nHas the ability to deliver internal training effectively.\nHas critical thinking and problem-solving skills but is able to understand the departments overall objectives.\nMust be able to be entrusted with confidential information.\nKnowledge of working with various office equipment, computers and various programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.\nAssociate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related field strongly preferred.\nA minimum of one year of Safety Experience in an industrial setting preferred.
