You'll work across the core disciplines that make up our system: motion planning, robotics, perception, and infrastructure and systems software. This is a hands‑on role for an engineer who wants to grow their depth across multiple technical domains while working alongside our Principal engineers in each area.\r\nLevel and compensation for this role will be determined based on experience — candidates may be leveled as Engineer or Senior Engineer depending on years of experience and demonstrated scope of impact.\r\nYou WillDesign, implement, and test production software in one or more of our core technical areas: motion planning, robotics, perception, or core software infrastructure\r\nBuild and maintain unit and integration tests as part of a highly testable, modular software architecture\r\nOwn the integration of your work into the broader system\r\nSupport design decisions with engineering analysis, simulation, prototyping, and hands‑on testing\r\nCollaborate with systems and test engineers to define and review requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria; support risk analysis, design reviews, and root‑cause investigations\r\nDevelop software following a rigorous process that combines modern high‑reliability practices with a regulatory V‑model framework\r\nDeepen your expertise in one or more specialty areas over time while building working familiarity with the rest of the software stack\r\nYou Are3-8 years of production software engineering experience, with strong fundamentals in robotics, motion planning, robotics, perception, or systems and infrastructure software\r\nExperience with production software development in an environment with high reliability requirements, preferably under a regulatory regime\r\nExperience developing software for edge compute platforms\r\nProficient in C++ and Python, with a firm grasp of real‑time performance considerations, memory management, and software design patterns\r\nInterested in working in a high‑reliability, safety‑critical environment; prior experience in a regulated industry is a plus but not required\r\nAble to take ownership of discrete features or modules and see them through from design to validation\r\nComfortablewith Linux and GIT\r\nA good collaborator who understands the importance of clear communication and humility\r\nAble to clearly convey complex tradeoffs to cross‑functional teams and external partners\r\nBonus PointsExperience in the medical device industry, ideally with interventional or robotic systems\r\nExperience robotics, hardware, and/or real‑time control systems\r\nFamiliarity with robotics development tools such as Drake, ROS, Moveit, RVIZ, Gazebo, and Isaac Sim\r\nExperience with computer vision, 3D sensing, or medical/domain‑specific imaging (e.g., fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT/MRI)\r\nExperience with real‑time Linux or other real‑time operating systems (e.g., QNX), interprocess communications, or embedded systems\r\nExperience with continuous integration, automated testing, or cybersecurity\r\nMagnendo Corp. is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applications without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law.
